RESILIENCE HUB COLLABORATIVE
FOR COMMUNITY. BY COMMUNITY. IN COMMUNITY
We believe that community resilience is rooted in a sense of belonging, collective care, and community self-determination. Resilience Hubs provide a trusted ‘third space’ where community members can gather, connect, obtain support, and build deep trusting relationships. The ultimate outcome for Resilience Hubs is that all can feel safe, supported, and connected everyday, in the event of a disruption, and throughout recovery.

The Resilience Hub Collaborative (RHC) is a space for community-based leaders, community members, and their partners to gather and share ideas, resources, and methodologies for creating Resilience Hubs.
We are an action-focused network that creates conditions for collective action, through monthly convenings, access to coaching, technical assistance, resources and tools, trainings, and funding support.
RESILIENCE HUBS BASICS
Resilience Hubs are physical buildings and/or structures that serve community members year-round. They are enhanced to provide continuous support throughout any type of disruption and provide a community “home” and trusted “third-space” to facilitate belonging and connection while supporting skill-building, sharing of resources and information, and enhancing quality of life.
Resilience Hubs are for community, by community, and in community. The individuals and families served by a Hub are directly connected to the neighborhood or geographic area that the hub serves. Hubs support all members of a community including seniors, youth, people with disabilities, houseless individuals, and even pets.
True community resilience is holistic, comprehensive, and year-round. It centers on support for daily needs in addition to serving community during and after a disruption. Ensuring community members have a safe and trusted space to gather for support, connection, information, and care is critical to proactive resilience building.
Designing, planning and implementing a Resilience Hub or network of Hubs may seem overwhelming. Not to worry, our team is here to help. We assist in designing and supporting inclusive planning processes, community-led design and needs identification, and partnerships for implementation in all six core components and across all three conditions.
